ok me and my nieghbor have been working on this buick for about a month now trying to get it to run. first the kid ssaid the fuel pump was bad so we replaced that and figured that would be it but it still wouldnt start. then we replaced the comp. it started to run. the manifolds were getting red hot. so replaced the fuel regulator and injectors. didnt really help, so then replaced the timing chain. help some and started to run better but it still doesnt run correctly. the manifolds still get cherry red. also when we move the throttle position sensor it will start easyer but then have to pull it back for it to idle decently and the idle isnt constant. goes up and down alot. has almost no power and you cant really drive it. it doesnt like to accelerate at low rpms.

1. Tell us the year and engine size. Since Electras have been made for decades, this make a HUGE difference!
2. Red hot manifolds indicate an excessively rich mixture and/or late ignition timing. However, until you answer question #1, I cannot advise you of the remedy.
