for the past 3 weeks my car has been overheating and ive changed the radiator cap, the thermosta, and the coolant censor. After all this it still keep on overheating then it started missing. so we take it to a shop and they said its not the head. they said its because the block is warpped. what do you think is better, fix the block and rebuild the engine or buy a hole new motor? o yeah does anyone know of a good mechanic in the San Fernando Valley cause i think this guy is trying to ghip me.

i have never heard of a warped block, but if it is warped i would buy a ne block and do a mpfi swap if you dont have that yet

I seriously daught your block is warped, but if it is it would be cheeper to just replace it, honda engines are all too common. I would check with another shop first (dont tell them what the other guy said) and see what they come up with.

that shop has got to be bullshitting you, they probably just want money from you for something that is not wrong. Have them SHOW you measure the surface of the block with a straight edge to prove it.

I think you should try changing the headgasket? :)

theres no way to show the block is warped unless they pull the head off, if ur that concerned, yank the motor, drop a new one in, and send the old one out to get dial gauged and that will tell u,
also, r u sure u have coolant in ur motor?
