Trying to figure out which trannsmission my truck has. O'rielys said there are 3 different ones listed so I went outside looked on door jamb, under hood, glovebox, looked in the manual, and even got underneath to pull #'s stamped on it. Problem is non of the #'s on the tranny don't come close to the way O'riely's list them. I've worked with parts departments @ a few dealerships before but I can't translate these #'s to the type of tranny. My knowledge on trannsmissions is my weak point on autos so I appreciate any assistance given

What vehicle and what year is it? What does it look like (square, square with a corner "cut off", etc.)

Chuck it in the gutter and get another :icon16:
You can tell by the pan. like goinbig says. the make should be stamped on the side of the case too. you can see it if you have a very small head :icon16:
