I have read all the info on the clunking in the 2004 SR5 driver seat, but haven't seen were any one had it resolved. I am going to file an arbitration on this matter as i have had no luck with my dealership or the Toyota people. They say that it is normal. Please Help Rick

I have heard that the clunking is due to a loose rail/seat fit. I remember someone solved the problem by slightly bending the rail or seat to make the fit better.

My dealership told me that this is a known problem with the SR5 manual seats. Toyota has yet to determine if they will create a fix for this issue. Personally, I think it is their responsibility to fix it. The dealership mechanic attempted to "tighten" the track, but told me that this is only a temporary fix. So far (100 miles later), no problems.

I see this thread was started a while back. Welcome me to the SR5 driver's seat clunking club. This is the only complaint I have had about my truck, but it is annoying as heck. I called Toyota's national headquarters and they seem to not know anything about this (this was 12/7/04) I found it hard to believe since these posts are so old, I'm sure that one of you guys have filed a complaint with them. I did.
Have you since had any luck with a resolution?
