My 95 jetta keeps blowing the brake light fuse. The problem is that the wiring( one wire ) that runs from the fuse block is fried. That wire is getting grounded somewhere that it shouldnt be. I was wondering if the wire fries all the way up to the accidental ground? or where it stops getting fried? Then how can or can i fix it myself?

Is it red/yellow or red/black?

it started red/black then it went to brown. Its all fried all the way up to the dash, as far as i can see.

It shouldn't be connected to any brown wire as that would be a ground (that would explain why its fried). If it's impossible to trace you can just wire from the red/black on the brake light switch to the red/black on the left brake light (outer of the two). Note, at the brake light the wire comes in from the switch & exits to the other lights, you'll need to cut the old wire from the switch.
