94 Grand Caravan Stereo Problems

I bought a 94 Grand Caravan with supposedly blown rear speakers, and a stock CD player with a nonworking display. The CD player did still work and a single rear speaker worked with only high end sound coming out of it. The system is of course the Infinity stock system.

I installed a new aftermarket CD player and bought two Infinity speakers from the wreckers. I installed the CD player, blew some fuses (silly me... spent $120 for the dealer to tell me this...), and installed the wrecker speakers.

The new CD player works fine, the two dash board speakers sound fantastic, but the rear speakers only put out high end sound, and not very loud. I fade the speakers front and back, I balance the speakers right and left, they all respond in the right order.

Could I have purchased blown speakers from the Wreckers, or could there be something else wrong I am unaware of?

Is there a speaker in each front door? There is the word "Infinity" on something that appears to be outer casing of speakers on each front door, but no sound comes out of them. I have not tried to take the covering off yet to see if they are actually speakers, but if they are, shouldn't they put out sound?

Could this problem with the rear speakers, and possibly the door speakers, have something to do with a power amp for the speakers on the Infinity system? If so, where would I find this power amp to check fuses, or replace it?

Any suggestions would be great. Thanks.

Solved:

As pointed out on a buried post, the after market stereo harness' has a "power antenna" lead. This should be connected to your after market stereo's Amp lead. This will activate the powered speakers in the Infinity system when you stereo is on.
