Coolant Leak

alright i installed a new throttle body and spacer from ZZP and it sounded like a leak...i waited a few days to see if the sound would go away and this morning i decided to take off the throttle body and check it out. It turns out that coolant is leaking out from the supercharger(those 2 holes that connect with the throttle body) and it seems like the coolant would have been leaking both ways ( into the engine compartment and also up into the supercharger inlet ) what i wanna know, is that gunna hurt my supercharger or engine in any way, having the coolant leak into it like that? and also i cant get the throttle body spacer off because i used permatex(that came with it) to seal it wich obviously didnt work very well cuz i have a leak on both sides, but i was wondering is there neway to soften the permatex so i can get the spacer off easier? or am i gunna really have to rip it off.

Another question i have is i went to the track last night and when i accelerated ( in 1st gear and only in 1st gear ) it would sound like my intake was sucking up stuff..sounded like a rock or something, but i took off my filter and it was clean and fine. i was wondering could that sound have nething to do with a leak and coolant leaking into the throttle body.

well any help would be great cuz i am not driving my car untill i get this all fixed...and i do love driving my car :iceslolan
thanx, Chris

Well first off, a small amount of coolant like that seeping into the engine should not have caused any damage. Guys run water injection on these engines to cool down the intake charge and the supercharger compression temps, so I would not worry much about it.

I'm not sure what to tell you about the permatex. When I got my worked zzp throttle body all it came with was a custom cut to fit factory throttle body gasket and it sealed up nicely.

As far as the weird sound while accelerating I'm sure a throttle body leak could cause that since it is allowing unmetered air into the engine. I'd keep away from stomping the throttle at all until you get it fixed.

Also when you put it back on, torque the bolts down like you would a wheel, a half turn on each bolt until it is snug. Might want to recheck the bolts a couple days later and just make sure they remain snug. Don't overtighten them.
