Yo, its time for me to equip myself with a airbrush, so i checked out hlj for airbrushes and saw a tamiya airbrush (some kinda trigger type, double action (what does that mean :screwy: )) and a compressor, also from tamiya, some kinda basic compressor, so my question is: does it pay off to buy these?

hahaha Mart :D
Don't buy Tamiya airbrush unless you are in Japan. They are in fact made by Iwata, and Iwata cost less than tamiya one (well it cost less in america) Consider also Badger, Paasche and Seach option !

Woohoo... Anthem Forum.
Seriously, got one too, never had a problem with, everything in this Airbrush is top notch. Same goes with the 360 Universal (which is aprox. the same thing but with a swivel front end).
For explication on the double action/simple... read my first message.

Hmm....or maybe u can do a review search online for the different models which are easily avaliable to u and then decide on which one to get. :)

If money is not an Issue, well get an Iwata.
IF you want the best choice for the money, I think Badger Anthem is the best choice.
FOr the compressor, I have a 100PSi 1.5Hp 2Gallon compressor That I got for 100$

I got my Anthem for 51$ on Ebay (155-7, with hose and all accessories) at Dixieart, it's 68$ for the same kit and 49$ for the airbrush alone (no hose, no accessories)
Look ebay, there is many new Anthem there (took 1 week to find mine at the price I wanted)

allright, thanks man, you are a good man, vric, i appreciate it :D
I noted that airbruses cost like 60% less in US and Jap than Swe, i went down to a hobbystore nextdoor ( :cwm27: ) and looked at a aztek, and it cost like 150 bucks (had lots of accessories though) but no compressor, and the compressor cost 350(!) bucks! i think ill order one from the US after seeing your post

I would never put 150$ on an Aztek airbrush
you can order from Dixieart, I think they ship worldwide. With customs and dutty fees, you should be far under the aztek price.
You can also look elsewhere, I don't really like dixieart, but it's a good place to buy.. just search a bit

I would not order a Aztec. They are plastic. One run with laquer thinner and the brush would be done. Get the anthem.
