No Reverse 02 2wd Silverado

Hello everyone,
I'd like to know if anyone out there has had a problem similar to the one I have. When you put it in Reverse it won't go and has no power, it doesn't seem to even engage(a whirring sound begins when you do this),but when you put it into Drive, it's ready and willing to go (the whirring sound stops).

Well dude, hate to break it to you, but my buddy just had this EXACT same problem in his Blazer. The transmission was shot, and he had to replace it. It would go anywhere in drive, but would not even think about moving backwards.. Sounds to me like you need a tranny, but I'd let the local shop check it out. :)

Sounds like you broke the coller off the sun shell, so yes the trans needs to be rebuilt
