Turn signal problems...

I have a 1997 Grand Prix SE, 3.8 liter with 140,000 miles logged so far. My passenger side headlight lens was cracked somehow and eventually came off, so I had to replace the whole headlight/turn signal assembly.
After doing that and getting the bulbs back in their proper places, I tested the headlights which were fine. But when I tested the turn signals by activating the hazard light switch, the passenger side parking light is flashing, but not the turn signal light. When I flip the turn signal lever on the steering wheel to activate the passenger side turn signal, the parking light flashes on and off much more quickly than the normal rate.
I checked and rechecked all the wiring and fuses and such, and everything looks to be in order. Anyone have any ideas?
Also, every once in a while, the cruise control will just shut off while cruising down the highway. I've noticed it more often when it's raining and I have the wipers on. Perhaps the switch is going bunk.
Oh yeah, and, maybe once or twice a month I'll be driving and the car will hesitate like the engine misfired, and my tachometer will drop to 0 and stop working. Stopping and restarting the car gets the tachometer back up everytime, though. I'm thinking it's either a transmission thing or maybe something electrical (seems like that's my biggest problem with the car so far).

Your intermittent tach failure/hesitation is a crank sensor going bad. your turn signal problem is a burnt bulb on that side of the car, if one bulb is out, it will cause that side to blink faster than normal.
