Could this be a strut problem

I hope this is going to be a simple fix. I just purchased a 94 jetta 4 cyl. Besides going through all the hassle of finding the codes for my radio. I have noticed that every time I hit a bump it sounds like my passenger side front wheel is going to come through the fender. I can do figure 8's and there is no clunk or clang. So me being the semi skilled mechanic I am hoping that this is a strut???? The steering is very tight and handles like a champ. And a funny ending to the radio problem. Took the jetta to the dealer like all the posts i read said to do. I get the code bring it home and they forgot to plug in the antenna. So now it is back to the dealer. First time cost 36.50.

I have the same prob with my 95 jetta sometimes. Only sometimes...really wierd. It makes a really loud clicking sound, but i think it is the spring, being loosened by wear and tear it becomes joggled. Try taking the whole suspension apart and putting it back together. You may just need new bushings or hardware.
