okay, just installed my apex-i vafc today on my 97 prelude base model (h22a4). my car is turbocharged and vtec did work fine before i installed the v-afc. my car is turbocharged with the greddy kit, so i am running the FMU/ bluebox/ fake e-manage they give you with the kit...im just running it along side the vafc. my oil pressure is fine so thats not the problem, also the vtec solenoid is fine...as i said it worked this morning before i installed the vafc and the vafc is installed correctly...to the best of my knowledge but i did buy it used. all that i wanted the vafc for really was a vtec controller and to monitor things (i got a great deal on it). the rpm reading on the vafc is also off from the factory tach, and i have tried setting the vtec x-over at different points on the vafc and it still wont engage. im stumped. if you have any solutions to this let em rip...if ive left out some info let me know....thanks a bunch guys.

tach will be off because the vafc reads actual rpm and the honda tach reads somethign like 800 rpm off i think so ppl dont blow their engines. how much off was the tach fromthe vafc. only thing for vtec is check ur wiring. idk if u wana run an fmu with a vafc. isnt the point of getting a vafc to program ur fuel delivery so that would mean that the blue box and ur setings would try to contradic themself. just what i think.

yeah the tach is about 800 off from the vafc. i have all of the vafc fuel control settings set to stock specs so the injectors are just reading the bluebox parameters. it sounds dumb to run the vafc and the bluebox but really im just using the vafc as a vtec controller for now. the bluebox has been good to me so far and its pretuned to the turbo kit. im going to triple check my wiring tomorrow but as i said im pretty damn sure everything is strizzle. thanks though...
