I went to Cottman transmission for a tranny flush cause all u guys on here recommend it, but this guy seemed to be knowing what he was talking about. He said that he doesnt recommend a tranny flush and that it will hurt ur tranny, he said just drain and fill once a year. So , i dont know what to believe u guys or him. LOL.

He recommended me to buy a tranny cooler from him, which attaches to ur tranny , $145 installed. It keeps ur tranny cool, for those who experience overheating.

as a tech I always rec. trans flushes - dropping the pan and changing the filter only changes about 4-5
qts. of fluid and a flush runs about 12-16 qts - also the filter is useless in modern tranys since most of them are just a screen anyhow - I have been flushing tranys for years and see a much lower failure rate on the flushed ones - I'm not however saying the info you received is wrong - it is all a matter of personal oppinion by the tech on what's better to do - I will however agree that the cooler is one of the best things you can do to save a trans
