stalling intermitantly

I have a '96 suburban that stalls intermitantly. It has 80,000 miles on it and is supercharged. Car runs great 99% of the time however, out of nowhere it will lose power as if being starved of fuel. 4 out of the last 5 stalls have been when making a turn.

When car stalls the service engine light comes on and stays on. It goes out on its own, however, the last 2 times it came on it went off when I filled the car with gas.

After the car stalls it will start up immediately, without problem and not stall again for days.

I am perplexed. Any advice will help.

Thanks in advance,

Alan

You should get that code read, whatever it may be. You might want to get a fuel pressure gauge hooked up so you can watch it when it stalls

Just out of curiosity, do you have a aftermarket MAF? Is it possible that your MAF has suffered damage? There's not much to a MAF problem besides bad wiring, loose connections, and a Faulty unit. Adding a supercharger, in my opinion, makes it a little more complex to diagnose. You need real time data to find out whats going on. Or a freeze frame of what happens when the engine stalls. -Chris

You may want to try this site: http://www.pacific-audio.com/performance-discussion.html I know at least one of the regulars have superchargers with MAF problems

I replaced the mass air flow sensor. She ran beautifully for a couple of days. However, today she stalled again twice. Anyone have any words of wisdom?
