AHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!

alright...here's the story. just moved into my dorm which is right by the new gym fitness thing they're building. my window is facing where the main walkway to this place is. the construction guys start at 6:30 in the fucking morning. so i have cement trucks and bulldozers driving around outside my windows at 6:30.

i realize it's college and i'm not supposed to get a lot of sleep, but i the extra hour i could get instead of hearing fucking bulldozers would be wonderful

Sorry to hear that - hopefully they'll be done in short order.

don't you have a town noise ordinance? call and complain. that's waaaay too early to be woken up, especially after a nice night of binge drinking.

Like the others suggested, call in a complaint, and if they dont do anything you could always resort to ear plugs, just make sure your alarm clock is right by your head and turned up fairly loud.

i took a stab at college, stayed in a dorm for a few months. it was a new building and they were in process of putting in the swimming pool, they started around 6:30 as well, i complained to the RA on my floor, and we had to get a petition together to hold them off til 7 every morning.

heh...they won't listen to us. there used to be a lounge in between my dorm and the dorm right next to us but the guy that donated the money for this place wanted that knocked out so you could see his name on the building. every person in the school bitched about it but they ignored us, so i HIGHLY doubt they're gonna worry about waking us up early.

dorm life is fun aside from that crap...it's amazing how many people you can fit into a 10x15 concrete box.

and if i spent the whole night binge drinking i wouldn't even hear them right outside my window.

o yea...the school is the town (has it's own zip code) and campus security isn't any good for anything except giving out parking tickets

Just start launching water balloons at them at 6:30 in the morning. Better yet, wait until they eat lunch.

If you get wasted the night before, you might be able to sleep right through it! :D

I manage to sleep through lightning and thunder, the garbageman at 7 in the morning, my alarm sometimes, mum, the dog barking, and death metal. But I don't think I'd be able to sleep through construction!

i know what ya mean. at home, the fire alarm went off right outside my room (probably 10 ft away from my bed) and i slept right thru it. bulldozers are a hell of a lot louder though
