I have a 91' Chevy 4.3ltr with A/C, standard tranny, 160K. My question is the radiator i have in the truck is a single row, with the A/C shouldn't the radiator at least be a 3 row, or do they make a 3 or 4 row aftermarket that I can get for the truck. I have a slight heating problem, with the A/C on, idling, it will eventually climb over 230. I have replaced the fan clutch, and flushed the system. Also I have a new water pump.

Have you changed the themostat? You could try a lower temp one. Don't know about the radiator issue. I have a 1990 5.7 w/manual tranny. It has a standard radiator with the AC condenser in front. You've probably already done it, but check and blow out any dirt or gunk built up in the radiator fins. 160K's not bad if it's been taken care of, but you could still have some build up in the cooling jackets that wouldn't flush out. The new radiator/block flush stuff available now doesn't work near as good as the stuff in the old days. That stuff worked great but I guess it was too toxic or something and they outlawed it...You aren't using Dexcool are you? I've heard some pretty bad things about it causing problems.. Good luck
