head porting

do any of you have your heads ported. ive been reading about this and it seems like a easy way to get hp. but do you have to pull the engine out or can you just do it w/ the exaust manifolds out? ps i know i ask a lot of questions, but if any one ever needs help w/ neons, im ur man

heads off, to much of a risk to get metal shavings into the cylinder or valve stick problem..

could i just port the exaust manifolds, would that do me any good

i wouldn't attempt porting unless i had a-lot of experience, this a science by itself. i've seen guys pick-up power by doing it but most of the time they end up losing power.
