ok well my buddy finally got his tiburon (i mean rice). he wants to put up $100 to race me. i got a 98gt, 180 stat, plugs flowmasters w/ no ubend and res. and gutted air box w/ k&n. now i know my car isnt a race car by ne means, but i need to know if i should do this race, cause $100 bucks is 100 bucks so if i win, the rockers might come sooner.

How easy it will be depends upon a few things.

1) Is this his first 6 speed car? If so, he may do a hole shot and spin the tires badly. Or he may miss a shift.

2) Has he secretly modded his car? Careful......I know a few guys who mod their cars without ever saying a word to anyone. Come race day they surprise everyone.

yea its a 6 speed, no mods, he just bought it bran new last night, and it most likely wont be at the track

Try to get him to the track if you can. A lot of states are getting crazy with laws related to street racing. They have a law here in Missouri that says If two people are street racing and one crashes and gets killed, the other guy can be charged with manslaughter. EVEN IF THE OTHER GUY WAS NO WHERE NEAR HIM AND DID NOT CAUSE THE CRASH.

In our wonderful society these days, there is no such thing as an accident. The gov has decided it takes two to race, and if you weren't breaking the law street racing, you opponent would never had crashed, so it's your fault, WHAT A BUNCH OF S**T. But that's the way our lawyers make their money. Be careful if you street race, but take his $100, and get them rockers ordered.

smoke that damn tiburon ive drove a new loaded tiburon and it was slow even being a manual, i know i could beat a new tiburon with my bone stock 1995 210 hp stock and all i have is a shift kit. easy $100! 4 sure.

Isn't it great when people talk smack before they do their homework? He probably talked to others, or read a little about the GP GT, and realized he's gonna get his ass handed to him.

took the words right out of my mouth he's prolly done a litle home work and found out he's on the losing end of the battle big time, the new 2004 tib i drove that was loaded felt really slow even being a 6 speed compared to my 1995 GTP around town any way. just not snappy enough. could be the shift kit i have too i dunno. hope u can get him to the track tho its always fun emberassing imports. :evillol:

I wouldn't doubt if u couldn't have beat him with just a stock GP GT. Tibs are slow. I have a friend with a 2003 6-speed tib and i killed him in my grandparents buick regal just messin around while my car was gettin the system put in it. Take his money if he still has the balls to race you.
