the same site i always put up, www.hpsalvage.com. their prices are about the same as a junkyard (a little less) but the shipping is what kills ya...

should i get a t56 that has been bolted to a ls1 or the lt1 or does it not matter

tis a good question. i found some stuff that says the LS1 T56 and the LT1 T56 are different. namely: the input shaft length is different and the LS1 T56 has a different push-style clutch, where the LT1 has a pull-style. the LS1 T56 uses a hydraulic throwout bearing that eliminates the clutch fork. other than that stuff, the case and tailhousing dimensions are the same between the LT1 and LS1 T56 trannies...

yea.... how will the different input shafts effect me?? and how will i bolt this up to my 350... i believe i asked all this a while back but i have seem to forgot it.... my main issue is figuring out how im gonna get it connected to the motor

will i found a site that deals with putting a T56 into a third gen, the best i can do is give it to you. also, i hear that the viper engine is built slightly more rugged than the f-body trannies...

yes, im sure of it. they were originally designed for the viper, so you are guaranteed 500 hp. there are probably built kits out there that beef em up so they can handle higher power levels. i dont know exactly cause ive never dealt with building trannies..
