How much does the Eibach drop kit run for? Does anyone know? The only thing that bothers me with my lancer is that it seems that there is so much space between me and the asphalt. I want it lowered so bad.

The eibach PRO KIT for the 2002 lancer is about $230 which is the pro kits usual price...the kit lowers the car 1.5" to 2" which isnt dropping it, if you wanna drop it, cut the springs, eibach's are the best springs money can buy and any more lowering than 2.5" can ruin your whole suspension.

HUH???

I hope you're not telling anyone to cut their springs...

1.5-2.0" is a perfectly fine drop. With it you can fit tons of different rim/tire combos and really match your taste, while maintaining your car's drivability. I had an almost 3" drop on my car for awhile and recently replaced those springs with 1.75 front and 1.5 rear lowered H&R springs. great drop, agressive look, excellent handling and great drivability.

I do agree, however, that Eibachs are really good springs to get...

k, This might sound like a stupid question, but I'm gonna be lowering my car about 1.5 inches soon. will I need a camber kit? I sort of doubt it, but I've heard people say that if you drop your car AT ALL you need one.

I just got off of the phone with Stacy, in technical support at Eibach, The kit will not be ready until April of 2002, they are only making a pro kit for the car, nothing else. They are saving all the goodies for the Evo.Confirmed by Stacy, the kit will lower the front 1.25 inches, and the rear 1 inch. The kit will list for $299.00.
I have followed up with these guys since last october asking them when the kit will be ready, and this is the release that is on there website as well.

blair from rmr and jon from eibach both have said that the springs will be ready end of february to mid march because of the fact that collaboration with intrax has been slow... the problem is that some OZ's, as you may have noticed, come with different springs up front than in the back, and eibach and intrax are both working on the problem together and those are the springs that rmr is selling on their site.

No need for camber kit unless you know irregular tire wearing on the walls or any irregular spot.

as far as prices go, they said anywhere from $230 to $300, depending on the intrax springs.... oh ya... and i never said cut the springs, i was merely making fun of him for wanting to "drop" the car. "dropping" is only for people who cut srpings and get huge aluminum wings on the back.

No offense meant man, i was speaking to all not just you, anyways, if RMR is on it to then cool, haven't talked to my guy down there for a few week's, i'll have to give him a call.
Thanx for the heads up.

That's because there are soooo many twits out there who have never been exposed to people that mod their cars the right way, I guess.

Do you guys think the PRO-KIT form Eibach will improve handling and smoothness or just lower the car? Thanx

that is the biggest rip off ive ever heard, $389 for coilovers!?!?!?!?

the pro kit will improve handling and lower the car, the stability is increases along with center of gravity.
