88 honda accord lxi, i found the atf filter cap where the dipstick is, but it is l in the most impossible location, behind the rad and an arms length down. i can barely fit my hand down there. I had to change a piece of atf pipe and drained the fluid out. So i have to refill it. but the lid won;t seem to come off. i have no arm room to turn it..WHat is the easiest way to get to it??? plz if you can help?

Yea those old screw in style dip stick are a pain to get out some times. My remedy, take a junk socket & slit to fit over the top of dip stick. Use ratchet & long extension to remove. Long channel lock pliers work as well.
There is a screen located internally in the trans that acts as a filter. The only way to gain access is to remove the trans and split it open. All you really need to do is flush a qt. or so of clean trans fluid. Honda trans is checked in park with the engine off.

Junk socket is an old worn out socket, used on a ratchet to remove/tighten bolts. You need some kind of cut off tool in order to cut the slit in the socket. Otherwise bring it to a Jiffy Lube or something & have them loosen the fill plug/dip stick.
