If i turn the ignition to the first position, the radio and whippers work fine, but if i turn the ignition further to start the vehicle, while car is turned started, the radio and whippers stop. The only thing i can think is that there is a wire that is backwards somewhere, if it were a fuse, it would not come on at all. Any ideas?? Everything else seems fine, I recently replace the battery becase the old one was bad. However this was the same before i replaced the battery. It is an 97 Altima. Thanks

ok, i have found out it is in the ignition switch, It is not coming back to the correct position after cranking, i can barely push back into place as if i were turning it off and the radio and whippers work. how hard is it to take aprt the switch and fix this myself?

I hate to rain on your parade but if you read through this forum the only questions that get answered are the one that have to deal with fast and furious bullshit. iv asked a question that doesnt deal with turbos or rear wings and it hasnt got answered yet. your best bet is that if you have an actual car problem i would suggest buy the book and see if its fixable. the repair books are very detailed so im sure youlll find what your looking for and you will be able to figure it out.

P.S. its wipers not whippers

heres a general how to on that switch
