I've lived in my condo that I purchased about 15 years now and have come to a conclusion that the association is nothing more than a scam to collect money. In those 15 years I've been here, the only thing I've seen them enforce is the color of the screen doors :screwy: . Tenants, mostly renters, are always parking in the fire lanes, messing up the landscape, dropping trash everywhere except the trash bins, etc.
Thank you for listening, I'll go back to listening to my neighbors acting like morons! :banghead:

sell it and buy a house. a condo is a glorified apartment. and don't buy a house in a subdivision, as this is nearly the same kind of lifestyle.
i personally hate condos, apartments, and 'gated swim and tennis' subdivisions. these places are cut off from humanity and are alienating, overpriced, and sickening. the people are generally as$holes and have insulated bubble existences.
a condo is like living in a half-way house. and you must put up with the general behaviors of inconsiderate as$holes who are the type to cut you off in traffic or exhibit road rage. you must hear their televisions, their blenders, their foot steps, you get to know them by their noises. and this makes you want to throw up.

The condo association we have is pretty decent. At least it hasn't caused much grief while the snow is removed and the lawn moed. I helps that the bulk of the people living there are snow birds (retired couples that live in Florida in the winter for those that don't know) so there are very few renters.
