got a 94 that by chance all of the 4 windows stoped working in one month. im not great with cars but i know the motors still work beacuse i took the door panels and the motors off and they still run. i also looked at the motor teeth and thier still good so its gotta be the regulators looked around the net and tried to find a step by step guide to replace them but they were for bmws and dodge caravans ect... . so dose anybody know a site or can tell me a book title or something?
also the chrome strips on the rubber/plastic molding all around the car has oxodized and the dealership wanted almost 900 to replace them. but ive seen that they have a 3m product thats a tape to cover those kind of things. has anyone tried it and is it a good idea?

The window motor is the "regulator". One and the same thing.
Water tends to get into the motors.
Is there any play with the window - up and down?
