okay, so ive read that the 90's nissan pickups have the same motor as the 240sx, but cant you get the trucks with four wheel drive? so technicly couldnt you make a 4x4 240sx with a little custom work? (not that i plan to im just curious)

you can do pretty much anything with time and money. You can even do the four with drive from a skyline. Just have to do a lot of fabricating

they don't have the SAME engine,
and a pick up's 4x4 is different then a AWD setup
4x4's don't have a Limmited SLip center differential
driving it in 4 wheel drive on street will fuck up your drivetrain very quickly.
when you driving on mud, snow, dirt, grass etc the tires can slip unlike they would be able to do on asphalt or concrete.

yes, i realize you can do anything with money but i was just curious how simple it would be, i thought the truck had a ka24de? and i was thinking more along the lines of rally racing, not road. once again, dont plan on doing this just seems like it would be fairly simple to find parts and stuff. i personaly love rwd, just thinking off handedly here.

rally cars run a LSD center AWD setup
it won't work
KA24E with a diff intake manifold and throttle body location
4x4 is not really meant to be run for a long time. Especially hauling ass...
when off roading its best to run in 2 wheel drive until you get stuck, then pop it in 4wheel drive, get unstuck continue on your way and disengage 4wd.
it puts too much strain on the drivetrain without the LSD center diff. Even with AWD setup most of those cars can break the drivetrain pretty easily... so imagine that stress multiplied.
