Villager Manual Transmission...?

I have a '93 Mercury Villager GS. The automatic transmission went out about a month ago and I was trying to find another one...but instead of an automatic, I want a 5 speed manual put in. My only problem is that I cannot seem to find one anywhere that fits. Anyone have any ideas as to what make the transmission has to be to get it to fit? Any response is appreciated. Thx.

The Villager never had anything but an automatic trans. A 5-speed from a Nissan Maxima of the same vintage should bolt up to the engine, but you're on your own as far as mounts and linkages for the clutch and shifter.
