installing radio in 71 beetle

I want to install an original radio into a 1971 Beetle. From what I remember, the radio had four wires coming out of it. I assume two for the sound, one for power and one for ground. Where do those wires go? Is there some diagram on the internet somewhere that can help me?
I don't have either the car or the radio in my possession, because I'm helping someone else install it.
Thanks!
Pete

Wires should be:
Red - 12v Radio Power
Black (or brown) - Radio Ground
Grey?
Blue?
Red wire goes to Fuse Box Terminal #10
Black to any convenient ground
Remaining wires are for + & - to the speaker.

Thanks, Alan. I guess that's good for validating what I thought before. Any help on where to put those actual wires? I can figure out which one is what on the radio, it's just where do the speaker wires, the power wire, and the ground wire go?
Again, if anybody knows of any diagrams or pictures that I could peruse, it would be much appreciated.

I found this online. It's a nice diagram of the wiring, but doesn't tell me much about the radio.

Any other resources anyone have?

If I remember correctly, the original American made radios for Volkswagens sold in the U.S. were made by Philco. It wasn't the best radio made, so unless you want that "original look," I'd recommend a more modern replacement.

Thanks for the input, but we already have the radio, I just need to get it into the car.

If you find out which wire from the fuse the radio is your almost there. My 71 beetle was the bottom far right. I got a Haynes manual, it say in there. This is also good for repairs etc! I simply took that wire, tested it for the voltage (touching the wire and the car body[earth]), looking for 12v/6v depending on what the battery is. I just used that directly to my stereo. You'll see other wires screwed to the body for earth...just add your wire to it. Make sure its a good tight coonection too.
At the end of the day you just need your live wire and earth at minimum. Sorry I cant help any more.
