Fuse

this doesnt really have anything to do with a cavalier in particular but im having a problem with the fuse that is on the power wire from my amp, for some reason lately it has been blowing. after so long the fuse blows. Does any one know what the problem is?

its not the fuse cause it happened like 4 times.

size of it?...overloading the watts through ur wires? which causes the fuse to blow?... bad connection..which shorts out somewhere...just check over all ur wiring for everything on to the amp and off of it to see if anything is broken or wires showing that will cause it to blow out.

allright, 30 amp fuse works for like a 600watt amp, so if its bigger than that, it could be blowing because your amp wants more than you are giving it. you could have a short.. but on your main power line it would blow pretty much when you turned your amp on
make sure that you have a good ground too.. the same gauge as the power line, the remote wire doesnt matter because thats just a 12v signal

but anyways, a fuse blows because there is too much ampage going thru it, its either because of a short or a greedy amplifier

it's either pulling too much current through the wire through a shortm or the amp is drawing too much current through the wire for the rating fuse.
