R-34 V-Spec

I guess only US residents will appreciate this...I got to drive a right-hand drive Nissan Skyline R34 V-Spec...How he got it into the US I don't know cause MotoRex isn't importing R34's right now. Anyways, followed the guy into the Wal-Mart parking lot and started drooling on his car, then asked if I could drive it, with him in it of course. The left handed shifting really isn't as hard as one might think, although staying in your lane is kinda tuff, something to get used to...anyways, I want one....

I understand where ur comin from and don't blame you for it. I don't have proof, other than my fiancee's word, but on a forum, that's just as good as mine (which is not at all, i suppose). I'll carry my digicam with me from now on, in case i see him again and see if I can't get a pic. Really nice guy though, seemed amused at the fact I was just doin a lot of staring, but I bet he gets that a lot...anyways, it was awesome, and i fully understand you guys not believing, ill post pics if I see the guy again...

maybe the guy is so rich that he really doesnt care about the car that much. he could have other exotic cars just lying around in his car barn. then again, i am clueless.

Left handed shifting is easier than right hand shifting for me.

In a word, yes.

...anyways, I want one....

I wish I had a dollar for every time I'd heard that from an American youth on AF.

Far be it for me to tear you a second anus, but just occasionally I'd like to read about Skylines on AF from the perspective of those who either own them,or have a realistic chance of owning one.I am somewhat bemused by the unhealthy obsession shown about Skylines in a country awash with supercars of every other marque and model.

Frankly it's as odd as if every non-American AF member started posting skite and bull every time someone mentioned Mustangs.

It's nice that y'all appreciate a good car, but if you can't walk the walk, please don't try to talk the talk.

Im just a fan of the Skylines and Silvia's mostly cause we can't have them. It's a car that NOBODY else here has, and is a head turner for under $75k (usually). There's half a million Nissan's already here, but the Skyline and Silvia have the bodystyles and power-packages that everyone WANTS, not what we have to settle for. We have to get these damned de-tuned pieces of crap, then spend crap loads of money tuning them up, to get them to run in the same range as those, not to mention GT-R's are AWD. And AWS, awesome concept that NO car in the US has...

Our stupid government has to pass laws keeping us from getting the exotic cars enthusiasts like. I would LOVE to get a Porsche 959, but last I heard was that they would have to go through some of the same legalization as Skylines (i.e. emissions and frame support)....Everyone always wants something they can't have...

If you want something fast exotic, that only true car connoisseurs will know, get a Noble M12 GTO. Yes you can get one in the states for quite a bit less that what Motorex used to charge for R34. And with no disrespect to skyline fans but the noble would simply murder any of them around a track.

The Noble M12 GTO-3 runs about $81,300 give or take a couple grand. Whereas I can get an R-33 for $51,500 from MotoRex...hehe, that Noble looks badass though, and the R34's were in the $90k range I believe.....

well they sell the chassis for 54K, i've heard the rumor that with the powertrain the price get up to 80K but 26K just for the powertrain seems a bit much. This is not an exotic v12 or anything.

However even at 80k its still quite a bit cheaper than a R34 as I said, and the noble will simply embarass any skyline on a track, yes ever the NUR. The Noble plays at supercar level. So if you're gonna spend the money get a british sports car not a japanese one.

Anyway just my :2cents:

First of all, the statement about having no AWS/AWD combo in the US is wrong. Ask Yogs what he drives.

Secondly, no one gives a fuck.

Thirdly, I have driven GT-Rs of most years/models and frankly, they didn't excite me that much. Not having a go at them, just not as mind blowingly phenomenal as people make out.

had to comment, the 3000 GT VR4 is all wheel drive, all wheel steering too, and that is in the USA.
