SRT4 aside, the Neon is out of its place these days- it's old, frumpy and stale. The sooner a replacement comes the better.

You drive a boat that they accidently put wheels on at the factory, not a real car. Big FWD GM's are probably even worse than the cheapest of Neons- at least a Neon is remotely enjoyable to drive.

i hate and would never buy a neon because there so ugly and after 3 years the paint completely peals off the car making it look even worse

I had three of them callin me out last week( at the same time)....It was kinda of funny cuz to me it seemed like all three were sharing parts ..each one had something different , all were red ..one had a wing , one had a fart can and the last one had the "custom tail lights". I think they were pissed when I started laughing at them. Gotta love it..

in our area neons breakdown faster than anything else even the SRT-4! the old escort from ford lasts longer, all but one neon i have raced in the past end even now suck. Chevy is going/juat has released the new colbalt the replacement for the cavalier ford even cut away the SVT-focus /contour. i am just glad toyota released the Rolla XRS and honda/acura will release the upcoming RL-w/SH-AWD w/300hp. more than likely i will buy the XRS and my mother wants the RL already. but anyways NEONS SUCK BIG TIME!

Eclipse GS-T, GS-X, GT, and GTS are not girls or fags cars

chico i dont have a problem with eclipses or celicas but the way people around here hook them up they do look like fag cars. i have respect for them if they dont do to much or they make them look good. the corolla i owned had a 4age with a header, aem cold air intake from a 93 rolla witha weapon-r dragon filter, a tanabe racing medallion exhaust and a aem ecu. girls shopping car my ass it was running high 15's low 16's for a 1.6 that isnt bad. I do realize that it does depend on the area you live in but down here there are only a few good imports. but i can see where u are comming from. and i agree ford sucks. and dude the 12 yr old shit what the fuck. and by the way that eclipse isnt that bad it does shit on almost everyone around here, except a few of the spyders.

we're learning this stuff in a class i'm taking, they market groups based on a bunch of different things and guys and girls have different tastes when it comes to cars sometimes, so they have ones more designed to fit one's needs and another to fit the others needs girls want quick cars (celica GT) and guys want fast cars (celica GTS)

if a company sells cars suited for a large range of people, they have to cut on more of what some of those people want, it can't be too fast and not too slow, it has to be comfortable, but not horrible in the twisties, it has to seat 5, but can't weigh more than a 2 door car, it has to get good gas mileage, but it has to have plenty of torque for get up and go. a car like that won't sell because its nto enough of what people want, whereas a car built for speed, handling, etc. will sell better w/ one group that doesn't care about comfort so much and how many people fit.
they can make another that will seat 5, end up weighing a considerable amount, and rides comfortably to people who dont' care about the speed and handling

young people dont' want to drive cars marketed to 40y/o as well they want something that fits their needs and isn't necessarily practical (what a 40y/o would want) plus, people are so different anymore finding that medium is almost impossible

mines a dodge, that gets 47mpg and I have never had a problem with it.

FYI-- On earlier neons, the top of the window does run into a pillar. You can take a credit card, squeeze it between the window and the seal, stick your fingers in there, and pull that window back about 8", plenty enough to stick your other hand in and break in...
