i'm sorry to hear that :( maybe your struts are going bad. lowering a car can sometimes cause worn struts to go bad quicker than if you left it unlowered.

if the struts are going bad the spring could be coming a little loose when you hit a bump...everythime you hear "klak klak klak" it might be the spring moving around.

what happens when you hit a bump? does it make noise going around corners?

yes it does. not only in bumps even on holes and cruisng speed. so wat do u suggest? have my struts chek, do i have to put a plastic hose wrspping the spring so as not to contact metal to metal?

tnx bro

i assume you have normal gas struts. you should be able to look at them and be able to see if they are leaking or traces that it has been leaking. generally i pull the strut tower out and push on it to see how much it gives. it's supposed to support the weight of the front end of the car. if i can push on it then i know it's not supporting my weight (no, i don't waigh as much as a car :grinno: ) and the strut is no good.

i dunno...maybe somebody has another method

bad cv joints would make a loud "clicking" noise around corners but i'm not so sure about at cruising speed. for the fun of it you might want to inspect the boot on each side for small tears

that is actually not a very good methode of checking the struts. the struts are not supposed to hold the weight of the car. They resist movement. pulling the rod out of the body should be VERY difficult (rebound) pushing it in should be moderatly difficult (compression).

you could try limiting straps, they prevent the spring from comming unloaded, so it will not move around.

LMAO....we'll generally i just can feel by driving when they are bad

i can tell you right now if you have a set that is bad and you pull it out you can push on it and it will give.

maybe support the weight of the car was a bad choice of words but you didn't have to take it so literal. it is obvious the weigh of the car is not supported by the struts...if that were the case then we wouldn't need any of the pieces of the front end suspension.

this guy doesn't seem to speak the clearest of english so i figured i would be general in my answer. i guess shame on me :nono:

hehe, i've known people who think that the struts hold the weight. I've never bothered to ask those people what they thought the springs were for.

a friend of mine had a set of thoise springs, and we have never heard or that brand again...until now (he got them off of ebay) but they suck in my opinion. there spring rates are off from side to side....makes for a very unstable ride

...you should know by now that i know better :icon16:

we've lowered 89 crx si, 93 ex, and 88 std in the last week & 1/2. i have so many stock springs laying around i was thinking of making a shelf or doing something "trading spaces" style to them :grinno:
