I'm thinking about building up my d16y motor, and have an idea. I just need other peoples knowledge to help my desicision.

OK....
I want to make my d16y tough and mean. I was thinking about dropping in a b18 or something along that line, but everyone and their moms do that and I want to stand out. Don't care if its not that fastest just stand out and semi fast. Then I was thinking throw on a turbo, and etc.... Thats good but in my mind alot of people do that too. So I was thinking if it was possible to just do an all out N/A car.

So anyone thought about this/done this or seen it?? I need to know what power I can out of it, what I should do for rebuilding, and about the est. cost. I need to rebuild my car already but if its not worth the money to fully deck it out for N/A then I'm just gona prep it for a turbo.

Thanks for the help

a d16y/z6 all stock internals (top and bottom) on boost with no more than 7 to 10 psi... with the proper ecu and management - dont expect more than around 220 hp to the wheels.

all stock on boost around 180/190 hp to the wheels.

if you want to stay d16 and stand out... build the whole block (top and bottom), then boost or super charge it on NOS. = think 400 + wheel HP on a d16- :-}

I don't think you understand my question. I want to know what hp I can get from just N/A, Natuaral Aspriation; no turbo, no super, no boost what so ever. Plus no way in hell will I run N2O on a car that I want to get use out of.
