Strut bars?

My shocks in my camry are pretty bad (Car bounces pretty easy) and because of this it doesnt corner all too well (All the weight seems to shift to one side, and I seem to powerslide alot, lol). I was just wondering if a strut bar actuley helps handling, or is it just a waste of money for a shiney bar that goes across your car? It sure would be alot cheaper to buy one instead of replacing all my shocks :(. (No I dont think the strut bar will make up for the bad shocks, but anything is better then nothing.)

Give in and buy new shocks. Nothing will make up for the inability to keep your tires in contact with the road.

i agree with brian r. all four of my struts were bad. 3 i could compress with a pinky and the other took juat a little more force. mine vibrated a lot and at highway speeds the back end would skip when hitting a bump. just buy new struts, dont waste time on a strut bar. the bar is only to help reduce tower flex.
