98 528i Broken Door handle

I just got a 98 528i, and am now finding out that the passenger side door doesn't open from the inside. The handle pulls out and doesn't return all the way, I have to push it back in, but in any event, it won't open the door, I have to open it from outside.

Can this be fixed? if not, can I easily replace the inner door handle?
