Its very possible and has been done before so you should be able to get the parts to make the job alot easier.

A friend of my friend did that swap in Texas. I didn't get a chance to talk to him too much but he said he had to cut away/beat in the wheel wells and a few other unusual modifications. You can do it, but not without major modifications.

actually, when i had my iroc... it came with the stock 350... My mom's friend owned a garage, and "just happened" to have an extra 454 laying around.. and he gave it to me... Installing the sucker was a BITCH! I knew that it wasn't going to fit, with the engine compartment, so I took it down to my local body shop and had the body and frame gutted and extended... Even then it was a tight fit.. reminded me of a newer nissan 300zx, it was that compact.. took me 3 weeks just to get the engine in just right, reattach the tranny (i couldn't drop it in with the engine) and reattach any extra sensors/hardware... I tottally loved it... also DO NOT USE THE STOCK TRANNY! The 454 will chew it up and spit it out! Hope ya do it...
