Problems with replacement battery

My 97 Honda Accord EX just received a new battery along with the internal battery cables which had corroted (sp..) last week, however last night I was driving with a friend back home when we noticed pale smoke coming from under the hood. Stopped the car, shut everything off and looked to check under the hood. One, the radiator fan kept running (this is at night, semi cool evening in Arizona); Two, when trying to open the hood it appeared that some clear fluid was leaking but it wasn't water and didn't smell like oil or anything. Also we noticed when we got the hood open that the battery looked kind of wet. ANd the smoke stopped as soon as we got under the hood. What is wrong with my car, is it battery related or could it be something else? Can anyone provide some insight. I would greatly appreciate it. I am frustrated plus I can't bring it in today to the HOnda dealer cuz it is Sunday. I hate SUnday.
Please help me. I would greatly appreciate it.
Thank you

Youre not giving us some crucial information:
Where was the clear fluid leaking from?
But from the way it sounds, you have a radiator (or, possible, hose) leak. What you saw was steam, not smoke, and the moisture on the battery was sprayed from (probably) the rad.
(The fan staying running is normal, especially, if as is likely, you are short of coolant so starting to overheat).

Your fan probably kept running cuz your engine temp was high (if you lost radiator fluid). Check your radiator overflow bottle, is it empty? It should alway have fluid in it. White smoke is water related. Once your engine cools down, run your hand along all radiator hoses, see if you feel a rip or hole. Antifreeze has a distinctive smell. When's the last time you flushed and refilled your radiator? :)
