aftermarket replacement radio question: is a special part needed so that the door chimes work? if yes is the part required for the radio to work or can it be left off if I don't care about the chimes?

Yea, I think there's another part, but it's not required. I have an aftermarket head unit, but no chimes...everything works fine.
