Handling? The latteral acceleration of an NSX is .89 g... Same as my miata.

I'd much rather have a third gen rx-7 that pulls a .98 for half the price. Then with the other $45K I can spend it on a hot pink paint job... :naughty:

the only thing that doesnt look right is its a hard top... make it a convertable and it will look much better in resembling the F50

Hate on NSX's all you like for performance/price (I agree), but they are sexy cars, and an F50 conversion is a horrible thing to do to one. That video was awsome though, of course it was an NSX you can't buy in the States.

Yeah i wouldn't quite say price vs performance, I'd say price vs hp.

It performs quite well on a race track as you can see, it's not made for drag racing...stock.

The cockpit is too narrow for the body, and the ass end is really boxy. The fronts not to bad but the whole car just looks off.

Over here the NSX doesn't perform as well as a Porsche 911 and costs a helluva lot more. I know what I'd pick.

The transformation wasn't a bad job at all from the start. Some parts of the body just need to be a little bit more rounded and curved. I also heard someone say the rear was a bit too boxy, and I do agree. But other than that, poor NSX.


Racing Video: The NSX is a hot car and has a great style and look that is classic, nostalgic but never aging in my opinion. The reason for its jacked up price is because of how rare it is, and how little Acura manufactures them. I think the Honda NSX outsells the Acura version, correct me If I am wrong. The driver of the NSX also said that the engine overheated. It's no doubt that Acuras aren't the greatest in performance. But it is one of the most powerful V6s out there in stock, next to the Porsche and Subaru Boxer 6 engines, if they were to compare. But that 3.2L 290HP V6 is enough to make that car go 0-60 in less than 6-seconds, again correct me if I am wrong. That car is more for your weekend scenic drives through the mountains than on the race track like those Lambos.

Yeah, even though the porsche is more powerful, I'd still pick the NSX because it really is so rare. I think I've only seen about 5-10 so far on the street. I just saw two ferrari modenas within the last couple of days.

Plus, the porsche doesn't make heads turn like the NSX does.

Maybe it's rare because it's too expensive for what you get ;)

lol maybe, but from personal experience, I never see brand new NSX in acura parking lots. Usually they're all sold before you can get to a new one.

Umm, I'm sorry, I see at least 5-10 Carreras, 5 M3s and a ferrari every day where I work. I'm sure there are more that I don't see.

They're so common now where I live, but then again, I don't know where you live.

And Damir, you dont see many NSX's on the road because if someone is going to spend $90K on a car, it isn't going to be on a honda.

I might also mention, that the NSX I saw was the first ever in person, and it was still unassuming. Most people around here will see it and think it's a corvette.

The NSX is a good car, but definetly not worth 90k, I'm sure we can all agree on this. If you had $100k to spend, would you get the NSX? I don't even like domestics, but I'd choose a Corvette z06 over the NSX, 405 hp, a hell of a lot more torque, a full G on the skidpad (1.0-1.1 gs), and you have another 30-40k you can work with on suspension and power.

If I had the access to moulding/shaping machinary I'd be doing stuff like that too.But for 100k i'd be building up a muscle car with a big block with all the trimmings.Kicking lotsa cars. i.e most imports.But thats wat i'd do.BTW i live in aus and if i saw a NSX i'd laugh and think wat a waste of good money.
