Well I got a '96 Civic Si with a D16(superslow) I originally was going to swap a H series cause they haul ass, but then i did a bit of research and realized about the undertowing when turning and how they are better if your going in a straight line. Also H series is better for fullout-drag car, unfortunately i'm still an everyday driver so this is now out of the question......So, B series. what is the fastest b series that will swap into my civic with the Least PROBLEMS.... :sly:
Oh one last thing ... I've seen B16a, B16c, B18a etc...ithink you get the point, but what do all the a,b,c, MEAN????

B16a -160hp usdm 170hp jdm, found in higher end del sols, and 99-00 civic si's in the US and in the higher end Civic SiR's in japan.
b16b - Civic Type R 185hp and not made in the US.
b18b - Integra LS, RS, and GS motor 140hp.
b18c (b18c1) - Integra GSR motor 170hp usdm 180hp jdm.
b18c5 (sometimes also b18c i guess) - 195hp usdm 200hp jdm Integra Type R motor.
So the Integra Type R motor is the fastest B-series right out of the box. If you look at the top of the '92+ Civic page you'll see a huge writeup about engine swaps that can be done, and how easy each is to do.
