I got a 95 ford thunderbird, and i want to paint the center caps-that cover the lug nuts, not the actual wheel. Now so far i've experimented with some lacquers, enamels, all spray paints etc. I cannot get a finish thats basically matte-or flat black, and is not easily scratched. The only thing else i'm gonna try is this actual stuff make to spray down truck beds. It says it is high impact/very hard to scratch. And it is the type of black i'm looking for.
Can you suggest something..?? Is there a product thats MADE for this application?? I need a non-shiny black.

Ok looks like there is this stuff from dupli color called high performance wheel coating. It should work-hopefully. I figure it has to be scratch resistant if they make it for wheels..?? Right..?? Tomorrow i'm getting both the truck bed paint, and the wheel coat. I'm gonna test them out, let yall know..
