On 3SX they have something called an alcohol/water injection systems... How do these work? Are they for street or just track use?

alky is when you inject a methanol mix (i use winshield washer fluid) into the engine, and it cools down the engine temps so you can run more boost, and you can use it whenever you want, street, track, whenever

Windshield washer fluid? You mean like the stuff you put in your car to spray your windows down? Hmm....that's' really interesting.....

So it's to prevent detonation? Don't you run outta fluid alot, or is there some way to togle it from inside the "cockpit"? How much boost can one run on VR4s with stock pistons rods and stuff (with moded fule and stuff).

yes, winshield washer, the stuff you can go to target and get 99 cents per gallon, just make sure you get the winshield washer fluid that contains methanol, it'll have a danger sign on it
and yes, it helps prevent detonation, and no, you dont run out of fluid or not. Most people use a hobbs pressure switch set up in which the pressure switch will detect the pressure level its set at, then activate. In otherwords, if you have your pressure switch set at 12 psi, then everytime you hit 12 psi, it'll activate and the system and the fluid will be sprayed into the engine until you run below 12 psi in which it will automatically cut off, and you can set up a master switch so that if you dont want it to activate after you pass 12 psi or whatever level you have it set at, it wont. As for determining your maximum boost, dont try to run crazy boost levels, and i'd definitely recommend using a datalogger when trying to determine what boost levels are safe.
