Speedometer cluster

Are the speedometer cluster(analog) for a 91 S10 Blazer 2.8 and 4.3
interchangable? Mine speedo quit working and I took it to a garage and they had to rewire some wires under the dash and also replaced my cluster with a newer unit. The new unit looked a little different and was 10MPH slow. I got a cluster from the local junk yard out of a 1990 model and put it in. The problem is that the volt meter only reads about 9 volts with the lights and air on and the oil and voltage warning lights do not work at all (engine not running and ignition on). Anybody have a clue what the problem is. Mine is a 4.3 and I'm assuming that it came out of a 4.3.
Any help or ideas will be appreciated.

hey, those parts on the dash might be burned out. You can send the unit in to people on ebay and they can take it apart and rebuild it to mint for $115. Someday im going to have mine done.
