CAI filter

I have a cheap ebay cai and I want to get either a K&N or Apexi filter. Do you guys that have the K&N know the part number? Or can I buy the Apexi as just the filter, or do I have to pay the $170 for the whole kit? What are your opinions on the two?

Only one way to go K&N.

I don't recommend people go w/ the cheap CAI system. Cuz they never run on dyno test. You have no idea whether is lose hp or gain hp!!! Why not pay little bit more and get high performance stuff for the engine.
go with AEM or Injen....

It's a pipe that has the same exact dimesions as the brand name stuff. A pipe is a pipe... What's different is the filter quality.

no, different pipe have different outcome, it is all about the flowness. For brand name stuff, the inside part of the pipe, they make it very very smooth, that way the air flow will be better...

I'm not sure about the regular CAI, but you will feel the difference in the AEM V2 over regular pipe.

Even more off subject, is that a type-r front lip you've got there? I was thinking about getting one for my teg.

Yeah, eBay! I paid $80 for it. It's not the OEM one, but you can get it too for a little more. I like this one better though, because it flares out a little more on the sides..........fISH

The difference between cheap and expensive intakes is the filter, quality of material, & the biggest CARB approved. Companies dish out tons of $$$ to make their products legal in all states.
