keyless entry pad on drivers door

I have a 97 exploer but I do not have the entry code to use the keyless entry pad, ford want $50 to tell me. can anyone help. it may be on the control module but i dont know where that is

the security mod. you are looing for is in the rear of the vehicle - I beleive it is on the side with the jack tools - look around in that area with a flash light for a black box with a 5digit number on a white sticker

Rear of the vehicle on the drivers side. Open the panel and look forward. The number is 5 digits and will be on the face of the modual. You will usually need a mirror and a flashlight to see it. Good luck.
