Remove A-pillars on 4th gen

I removed all the headliner and dyed it black to match the rest of the interior (never understood that light grey thing with a different colored interior). Problem is the A-pillars don't want to pop off like the rest of the panels in the cabin.

I can't seem to get to the clips and I don't want to use any more force than is necessary to get them off.

Anyone ever get these removed without breaking anything?

If you removed other panels in the interior, then you know what kinda clips hold them in place. These have the same kind of clips (3 or 4 of them), so they will come off the same way. They might be a little rusty and that's why it's a little harder. Just start from the top one, slide your hand under the panel closer to the clip and keep on pulling it (several quick pulls) it will come off.

Actually no. Didn't work. Even though I tried that before I did it again just in case I didn't yank hard enough the first time. Doesn't seem to be a clip that's holding the top of the pillar at all. More like a hook that ataches at the sheet metal. I pulled hard but stopped just shy of breaking the thing.

well, if you do break it, it's not the end of the world. the clips are hidden, and easily fixable with epoxy. the salavage yard is my buisness, and sometimes you really gotta yank hard to get those trim panels off.

I know but I've broken so many tabs and clips taking off panels that I'm really trying not to do it this time.

Right. It went ON without tabs and clips having to be broken off then it must come off the same way.
