How easily does everyone elses G's front end chip? I've got two little white spots where I guess rocks hit, and a black spot in the bumper cover the same, the cars hardly a month old!!!! What gives is this normal? My old old '89 buick had less rock chips, and my 200sx has next to none!!!!!!!!!

i have 2 or 3 chips on mine as well... but i'm willing to bet they all came from my 100+mph stints on the highway...

I've got a butt-load of chips on my hood and front bumper. In Toronto they put a tonne of salt and crap on the roads in teh winter...not to metion my following close behind on the highway doesn't help either. :(

I had the same problem as well.
90% of the chips i had where on the front of the bonnet. After getting it all re-sprayed i have put on a "3M Protective" strip.
In case you dont know what it is....it's a clear strip of tape about 6" wide that you stick on you bonnet/bumper etc. You can hardly see it at all.
I'll get the digital camera out when i get it back today and take a pic or two and post them later to show you what i mean.
I have been on a few long trips since having it done and i haven't got one chip yet, normally i would get at least one after a long trip.
Will worth the NZ$60 :D :D

yeah ..when I first got my g20 i noticed that it chipped easily. I had a stanza before and never had this problem. Note also that I've changed my windscreen three times already ..that chips and cracks easy too.

Finally got the pics to show what i mean about the "3M Protective" strip that goes on the bonnet.
Sorry that they are not to good a pics as it's quite hard to get a good pic.
You can just see it on the bonnet but can hardly see it on the top of the bumper.
Hope this helps you out a bit.
Cheers

This photo is about the best as you can see it starting from the top of the 2 grills and going up the bonnet

If you don't like rock chips on your hood get a carbon fiber one. :)
