I have a '97 camaro with the ram air hood. I am having trouble finding a ram air box that will pull air in through the hood. I dont want to have the hood just for looks...I want the performance too. any body have any suggestions where i can find the air box assembly that will do that?

you have to upload it to the AF gallery, click on the gallery button, go to upload, download the pic from your computer to the gallery, then when you are in your memeber gallery, save the location of that image, as in the web address, and post that address at the bottom of your post, and the pic will appear there.
as to your question, you could try SLP, as they made the airbox you are talking about, or ebay, or the junkyard, i assume by ram air you mean the SS hood used on the 97 SS camaros and not an aftermarket one.

well, I can't see what kind you have, but as far as I know the Harwood ram air style hood is the only one out that doesn't have a kit to make it functional. i had that hood and what i had to do is buy the Z-style kit from Suncoast creations and then cut about an inch and a half off the front of the lid and then cut an inch off the front of the filter. it actually is really easy to do with a razor blade... got it done in about 1/2 hour. and it worked really good... i could hear it sucking air even when i was sitting in the car.
