When my grand am gets hot it hesitates at full throttle at around 45mph it lulls then kicks in then lulls then kicks in then goes like a bastard again. Could this be my tranny or a sensor makin it act funny? I cant check my transmission fluid level , i have to put some tranny fluid in then put it up in the air and check from the level indicator ,if it leaks its over full and let it leak till it stops then its topped off, if it dont leak im low and have to add more tranny fluid. I would much rather a dip stick but it aint got one. Wish I got that odbII scanner for 50 bucks :( woulda helped me alot.

I doubt you are low on tranny fluid. ABout a month ago mine was leaking tranny fluid, close to a quart in a matter of 3 days, pretty bad... in that time the car is very rough in the gears and shook horribly when accelerating until i would add more fluid, the only thing i had remotely to what you're describing would be the cat conv, but i doubt that's your problem.

does anyone know why or how a Cat Converter gets clogged, mine is only 6 months old and i feel that it's clogging up again already i have to get it checked.

Cats clog up from carbon and contamenents , I dont have a catylitic converter on my grand am its got a midstream resonator glass pack (free flow nothing in it) and a reversed blue bottle for a muffler and the way I drive theres no way its carboned up. Thanks for the ideas tho.
The slight hesitation happens only when the tranny is at normal operating temperatures or hotter , maybe that helps a bit more in givin you guys an idea of what could be happening with it.
