Thought it was time i showed my ugly face back in here after another few months away and say hi :eek7:

Just thought i'd drop in and say that you guys are still pumping out some great models from the ones i've seen.

I try and visit as often as i can but time and work/family seems to not allow much of that anymore.

To those who have sent PM's...hopefully i'll find the time to answer some !!

Been real busy over the last few months at car shows showing my car and have the last one coming up in a few months time.
We have our annual NZ Primera car club meeting which has taken up most of my time organizing coming up in just over 4weeks :smokin:
Been chipping away at buying a few more to add to the collection...so now have even more to make !!

But the good news is we have sold our house and moving :grinno:
Bad news is moving all the crap now
Cant beleive the amount of stuff after only being in this place for 8 years.
The place we are moving to is huge (5 bedrooms) and i'll have a Hobby room all to myself :grinno: :grinno: :grinno: ....which means no taking stuff out, building for a few hours, then putting it all away.
Cant wait to move so i can finally get back into some model building.

So all going well the PMan should be back on deck in 5-6 weeks :iceslolan

Great to hear from you mate. Look forward to you again achieving some modelling output.

As for moving all of those kits/models maybe I should just fly over the Tasman and look after them for you while you move. None will go missing I promise!

Welcome back, wise one!

I'm sure there are plenty of people on the board who'll be happy to 'look after' your kits for a while :evillol:

Looking forward to seeing that P-Man shine back on the forum in the near future :sunglasse

G'Day Warren, pleased to see you are well after such a long silence. Even more pleased if you will be returning to us and modeling full time in the not to distant future.

As for moving the models there is only one way - carefuly! How far you got to move anyway? Best of luck with everything.

"-Exceptional convoy? I didn't know Nasa had rocket parts coming from here!...
-No. That's just Pman's collection of models moving to its new house."

It will be nice to see you posting around here a bit, I'm sure I speak for many other members when I say you've been missed!

I moved recently, so I know how you must feel thinking about moving all those models. :eek7:

get some boxes together. You've got a hundred or so built models to move so this is going to be a b!tch. get some old soft t-shirts, dish cloths, washcloths etc.. together.

carefully wrap each one, then nestle it in the box. OR nestle the model in the towel after you make a "nest" out of the towel, in the box. Sit the model in the nest. move those boxes yourself (obviously).

I can't think of an easy way. thats the way I did mine and I broke maybe 2-3 rear view mirrors off and a wing max. That I can live with ;)

yeah moving all your models is a real pain!!, i had to do this 2 times, i wrap them in a cloth then bubble wrap and stick it in a box thats the same size as the model so theres no movement then put them all in a bigger box and pack them tight so nothing can move. and then put them on the back seat of the car, they are the first things i take with me lol,
i only broke off a 1 antenna.

Good luck!

We've all missed you, Warren! Good to have ya back.

Moving all those models? Get a bunch of large, shallow boxes, and many bags of shredded paper. (this might be tricky to find... maybe go to office buildings and ask if they have any shredded paper to get rid of...)
I'm sure you could just use styrofoam peanuts in a pinch.

Pile a layer of the shreds in the box, put your models in the nest of paper, and sift more shreds on top of that.
This should keep them safe, but you'll need a lot of boxes!

I look forward to your return with much anticipation. :)
