2000 Elentra trouble

My 2000 Hyundai Elantra does not start. I am somewhat car smart yet I do not know what is wrong if I could get some advice.
The car when I try to turn it on, it turns over but it does not start. It is not the starter, don't think so anyways, or the battery because you can hear it turning over but it just doesn't catch.
I would appreciate any ideas.

when you say it does not catch, do you mean you hear the starter but not the motor turning? If it is crankin the motor, then it isn't the starter. After that you'll have to check for fuel and spark.

Thank you but today we fixed it. It might have been the fuse or the fact there was corrosion on the battery. I thank you though but I am going to take it to get a tune up.
